Denise's clinical experience includes working with individuals suffering from anxiety, adult and childhood ADHD, depression, low self-esteem, PTSD, suicide ideation, and traumatic events, including sexual assault, human trafficking, and fire survivors of the 2018 Camp Fire. She offers treatment for individuals, couples, and families, which includes navigating separation, infidelity, divorce, and blended family issues.
Her treatment approaches for individual therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). Her treatment approaches for couples and families include the Gottman Method, Gottman's Trust Revival Method, and Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT). She is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Service Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
Denise is a Ph.D. student in psychology specializing in trauma and world relief at National University. She graduated from Capella University with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy and earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Jessup University. She is a member of the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Honor Society, the Capella University Chi Upsilon Chi Chapter of Scholastic and Professional Excellence, and, in 2025, was recognized as a member of the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society in her PhD studies.
Denise is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate.
